One of the worst things about this sport isn't that we get mismatches but that we get mismatches for fake paper belts in a sport with more belts and champions than we actually need. We had several of those types of mismatches this past weekend though the first of them came in Russia where the unbeaten Dmitry Chudinov made extremely light work of Mehdi Bouadla. The bout, for the WBA "interim" Middleweight title, lasted less than 3 rounds but saw 5 knockdowns in a contest really should never have been made. It was a farce and showed just how far Bouadla had fallen since he was able to take Gennady Golovkin the 8 distance many years ago. From his style and power it's hard not to enjoy watching Chudinov but this was a pointless exercise against an inept foe. Still enjoy watching Chudinov as he'll have a very fun career to follow.
