December 3rd 2002-Jangchung Gymnasium, Seoul, South Korea Dae Baira (10-1, 9) Vs Rudy Key (0-0) Back in 2002 Korean based Mongolian Dae Baira, also known as Kim Baira and Ganbat Bayartogtokh, faced off with the debuting Rudy Key for the WBC Youth Lightweight title. Although not a big name Baira was certainly an interesting fighter who had a fun, but short, career between 2000 and 2006, winning a variety of belts and fighting around the globe. Sadly Key's record is almost certainly incomplete, though at the time of writing this is thought to be his only bout outside of Indonesia.

October 25th 2001-Bunka Gym, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan Dae Baira (7-1, 7) vs Hwan Young Park (11-1, 10) In 2001 Mongolian fighter Dae Baira took on Korean foe Hwan Young Park in Japan. On paper this one promises a lot, given both men were brutish punchers, both were looking to move their careers forward, and both were looking to open doors on Japanese soil. Although not the greatest footage ever it is fun to see such an obscure fight having video footage surfacing almost 20 year after the bout took place. December 3rd 2002-Jangchung Gymnasium, Seoul, South Korea Dae Baira (10-1, 9) Vs Rudy Key (0-0) Mongolian fighters are few and far between, though one who did make a bit of a mark during his career is Dae Baira, who was born Ganbat Bayartogtokh. Dae was a Mongolian who was based in Korea and won several titles in Korea, including the WBC Youth Lightweight title. He won that belt in this bout, against Indonesian fighter Rudy Key. |
