In fact it took until Tomoki Kameda [亀田和毅] had had 6 fights before he faced a domestic foe. That opponent was Tatsuhiro Kumobayashi [雲林龍広], who was the first non-Mexican that Kameda went up against.

September 6th 2015-American Bank Center, Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Tomoki Kameda (31-1, 19) Vs Jamie McDonnell (26-2-1, 12) II In September 2015 Tomoki Kameda [亀田和毅] had his second bout with Englishman Jamie McDonnell, attempt to avenge his sole defeat and become a 2-time world champion. The first of those bouts was in Texas and was a really great bout, that is often forgotten due to the main event of the card also being a highly entertaining affair.
