February 11th 2021-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Ryo Sagawa (10-1, 5) vs Hinata Maruta (10-1-1, 8) Just over a week ago Japanese fight fans at Korakuen Hall had the chance to see Japanese Featherweight champion Ryo Sagawa [佐川遼] face off with his mandatory challenger Hinata Maruta [丸田陽七太] in much anticipated, and much delayed, Champion Carnival bout. The contest was originally planned for early 2020 before Covid19 postponed the bout, and forced it to be delayed by almost a full year. Despite the delay the bout was one fans had been looking forward to. Notably the bout was supposed to be shown a few days after taking place, on tape delay, however the broadcast was delayed by almost a week due to an earthquake that struck Japan just hours before the bout was originally supposed to be aired.

October 26th 2019-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hinata Maruta (9-1-1, 7) Vs Takenori Ohashi (17-5-2, 11) Yesterday at the Korakuen Hall fans had the chance to see several Japanese title eliminators. Among those was a Featherweight bout between the highly regarded Hinata Maruta [丸田陽七太] and former Japanese Featherweight champion Takenori Ohashi [大橋健典] December 3rd 2018-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hinata Maruta (7-1-1, 6) vs Tsuyoshi Tameda (18-3-2, 16) Back in December Japanese fight fans got a treat, as Hinata Maruta [丸田 陽七太] faced off with the big punching Tsuyoshi Tameda [溜田剛士] in a mouth watering match up. (Video courtesy of sapparimono) August 23rd 2018-The Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex, Paranaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines Hinata Maruta (7-1, 6) Vs Ben Mananquil (16-1-2, 4) Earlier today in the Philippines fight fans had the chance to see Hinata Maruta [丸田 陽七太] battle against Ben Mananquil in a really interesting match up between two men who had a lot of hunger, and just a single defeat each. October 13th 2017- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hidenori Otake (29-2-3, 13) vs Hinata Maruta (5-0, 4) Last week Japanese fight fans saw OPBF Super Bantamweight champion Hidenori Otake [大竹 秀典] took on highly touted Japanese youngster Hinata Maruta [丸田 陽七太] in a really intriguing match up between veteran and youngster.

Hinata Maruta (1-0) v Krungsing Kaolamlekgym (0-0) Over the last 18 months we've been unable to hide our excitement in regards to Japanese wonderkid Hinata Maruta [丸田 陽七太], who made his debut in late 2015. In his second bout he took on Thailand's Krungsing Kaolamlekgym, AKA Kerdsuk Saranyu. Note-We'd like to say a massive thanks to the guys at boxmob.jp who added this to their yahoo account, from which we've been able to embed the video! November 22nd 2015-Sumiyoshi SportsCenter, Osaka, Osaka, Japan Hinata Maruta (0-0) Vs Jason Canoy (24-5-2, 18) There are a number of videos out there that are consider unfindable. One such video was the full debut of Hinata Maruta [丸田 陽七太] recently however we were sent that video which features, in full, Maruta's debut against the world ranked Jason Canoy, who was entertaining this bout on the back of a blow out win against Drian Francisco. Coming in to the bout Maruta was was tipped as a potential star in the making, whilst Canoy was a tough, dangerous fight and a very high risk debut. August 2014-Japan Hinata Maruta (N/A) Vs Yuto Tanaka (N/A) We are just a few short weeks away from the professional debut of Japanese youngster Hinata Maruta, a man touted as the next superstar of Japanese boxing. With the count down well under-way we have managed to hunt down one of Maruta's amateur bouts, a contest with Yuto Tanaka from a 2014 tournament that saw Maruta claim a runner up medal. This bout was the quarter final of the competition and showed some of the promise that has seen him become to highly regarded ahead of even throwing a punch in the proessional ranks. |
