November 15th 2015-City Gym, Tomigusuku, Okinawa, Japan Go Onaga (25-2-2, 18) Vs Jonas Sultan (9-2, 5) World ranked Japanese Super Flyweight Go Onaga was recently in action against Filipino foe Jonas Sultan in what was a bout that much closer and much more competitive than either their records, or the score cards, would suggest. November 24th 2015-Chonburi, Thailand Noknoi Sitthiprasert (54-4, 32) v Ardi Buyung (2-5) When you've won more than 50 successive bouts you tend to suspect a step up in competition is due. For Noknoi Sitthiprasert however it seems his eye is on setting records for the longest winning streak, and as a result he is still matched softly, as seen by a recent bout against Ardi Buyung. November 24th 2015-Chonburi, Thailand Chanachai CP Freshmart (4-0, 2) Vs Unknown Thailand has a lot of exciting lighter weight fighters, one of whom is Chanachai CP Freshmart who has really caught our attention in recent bouts. The unbeaten youngster was in action this past week as he took on an unknown opponent, originally thought to be Indonesian fighter Silem Serang though appears to be a Thai fighting from the Pakdee stable. November 24th 2015-Chonburi, Thailand Oleydong Sithsamerchai (57-1-1, 22) v Oke Haryanto (5-6-1, 2) Some bouts are shameful and embarassing to the sport. One such contest saw former world champion Oleydong Sithsamerchai "fight" against Oke Haryanto, a man who simply looked unable to fight. We won't ruin this one too much, but it certainly doesn't last long. November 24th 2015-Chonburi, Thailand Wanheng Menayothin (39-0, 14) v Young Gil Bae (26-4-1, 21) We don't get many Korean world title challengers, though this week we did see Young Kil Bae fight at the top level as he took on WBC Minimumweight champion Wanheng Menayothin. Although Bae failed to make weight for the bout, and couldn't possibly win the title, the contest went on as planned for a bout that looked like a mismatch on paper. November 24th 2015-Chonburi, Thailand Petch Sor Chitpattana (33-0, 21) v Jeson Umbal (8-3, 6) Thailand's world ranked Petch Sor Chitpattana was in the ring recently as he continued to rack up wins whilst pursuing a world title bout. In the opposite corner to Petch was limited Filipino Jeson Umbal, an opponent who showed his willing and really did earn his payday. November 20th-Municipality of Klong 6, Klongluang District Pathum Thani, Thailand Veerasak Himalaigym (1-0) vs Honghern Singprathumraj (0-0) Unbeaten hopeful Veerasak Himalaigym was in action this past Friday as he looked to extend his perfect record against fellow novice Honghern Singprathumraj. November 20th-Municipality of Klong 6, Klongluang District Pathum Thani, Thailand Nawaphon Por Chokchai (30-0, 23) v Paulus Baransano (2-5) WBC Flyweight mandatory challenger Nawaphon Por Chokchai knows that in 2016 he will get a world title fight. Rather than just sitting and waiting he has remained active and recently fought Paulus Baransano in what was an awful mismatch. November 20th-Municipality of Klong 6, Klongluang District Pathum Thani, Thailand Pongsaklek Sithdabnij (5-3-1, 4) v Kongveha Himalaigym (0-0) The name "Pongsaklek" will always be associated with the great "Pongsaklek Wonjongkam" there is however another Pongsaklek making his name in the sport, Pongsaklek Sithdabnij. The "new Pongsaklek" recently took a 6 fight unbeaten run into a fight with the debuting Kongveha Himalaigym. |
