March 17th 2021-General Santos City, Cotabato del Sur, Philippines RV Deniega (4-0, 2) vs Jovanie Tagusi (6-3-2, 3) Back on March 17th unbeaten Filipino prospect RV Deniega took part in his first 8 rounder, as he battled against fellow Filipino Jovanie Tagusi. Interestingly both men were coming in to this bout having been away from the ring for over a year.

March 17th 2021-General Santos City, Cotabato del Sur, Philippines John Vincent Moralde (23-4, 13) vs Kim Lindog (5-9-1, 4) Earlier this month experienced Filipino fighter John Vincent Moralde, who shared the ring with Jamel Herring in 2018, took on fellow Filipino Kin Lindog in General Santos City. This was only the third sice since the start of 2018 that Moralde had fought in his homeland, with many of his recent bouts taking place Stateside. As for Lindog he was looking to avoid a 7th straight loss, and hadn't scored a win in over 4 years. March 17th 2021-General Santos City, Cotabato del Sur, Philippines Rimar Metuda (14-6-1, 8) vs Eden Sonsona (36-12-2, 13) Back on March 17th Filipino fighters Rimar Retuda and Eden Sonsona clashed in an interesting looking match up. Although neither man is a big name both fighters have shown they can be a handful, and on their day they can be a banana skin, and it was going to be interesting to see what was going to happen when they shared the ring. March 17th 2021-General Santos City, Cotabato del Sur, Philippines Ian Sampan (2-0, 2) vs Yoben Limentillo (2-3, 1) Earlier this month Filipino prospect Ian Sampan faced off with Yoben Limentillo in General Santos City. On paper this was a step up in class for the 19 year Sampan, who had been out of the ring for 15 months coming in to this one. As for Limentillo he was looking to avoid a 4th straight loss. March 28th 2021-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Shun Kubo (14-2, 9) vs Ruito Saeki (7-4-1, 1) This past weekend we saw former WBA Super Bantamweight world champion Shun Kubo [久保隼] in action in Kobe, as he took on 22 year old Ruito Saeki [佐伯瑠壱斗]. This was Kubo's second bout since being stopped in 2019 by Can Xu in a WBA Featherweight title fight, and only his 4th bout since losing to Danny Roman in September 2017.As for Saeki this was his first bout since going 8 rounds with Teiken prospect Mikito Nakano last year December. March 28th 2021-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Yuki Yonaha (8-3-1, 5) vs Kenta Sakata (7-7-2) This past weekend we saw Japanese ranked fighter Yuki Yonaha [与那覇勇気] battle against Kenta Sakata [坂田健太] in a scheduled 8 rounder in Kobe. On paper this one looked like a mismatch and in reality, it was pretty much a showcase for Yonaha, who has the potential to fight at a much, much higher level than he was here. March 28th 2021-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Takahiro Tai (1-0, 1) vs Koichi Wakita (7-2-3, 2) This past Sunday we had the chance to see the second professional bout of switching hitting Japanese youngster Takahiro Tai [田井宜広] who stepped up in class from his debut and took on JBC #15 ranked Bantamweight Koichi Wakita [脇田洸一]. Tai had genuinely caught the eye of fans last year, in his professional debut, with a flashy, fun style, and there was high expectations on him to shine again here. March 28th 2021-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Ren Kobayashi (3-1, 1) vs Kazuki Terasaki (3-2-1, 2) This past weekend we had the chance to the talented Ren Kobayashi [小林 廉] fight for the first time since suffering his first loss. In the opposite corner to Kobayashi was fellow 23 year old fighter Kazuki Terasaki [寺崎 和輝]. March 28th 2021-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Marina Hamada (2-0-1) vs Michiko Abiru (2-4, 1) This past weekend Shinsei put on a show at the Central Gym in Kobe. The first bout on the show was a 4 round female bout between Japanese ranked Flyweight Marina Hamada [浜田 麻理菜] and Japanese ranked Bantamweight Michiko Abiru [阿比留 通子]. March 27th 2021-Suamlum Night Bazaar, Ratchadaphisek, Bangkok, Thailand Anurak Thisa (25-2, 9) vs Poramin Saengpak (4-1, 4) This past Saturday in Thailand fight fans saw former world title challenger Anurak Thisa, also known as Nop Kratingdaenggym, compete in his latest bout, battling against teenager Poramon Saengpak. |
