After a full day of no action Asian boxing returns with a subdued feeling. The calm before the storm if you will.
The action, at least televised, kicks off in Thailand with a show on Channel 7. Unfortunately despite the fact we know there is a televised card we're completely unsure as to who will be on it or what fights are expected to take place on it.
Although the Thai action is pretty unknown at this point we do know that there will also be action in Australia.
The Australian show will see Michael Correa (3-6-3, 1), of the Philippines, fighting George Kambosos Jr (2-0, 1) in a bout for the Australia New South Wales State Lightweight title and Nathan Wright (1-0) taking on Jayson Mac Gura (1-18-3, 1), also of the Philippines.
The final bout with an Asian interest takes place in the UK as Youssef Al Hamidi (12-61-3, 1), originally from Syria, fights Callum Winton (2-0-1). Al Hamidi, one of the best "journeymen" on the planet will be taking part in his twelfth of the year, and will be hoping for his first victory of 2013.
