Just a day after the weeks first world title fights action returns to Japan as Kyoei put on a small, but yet notable, show in the Korakuen Hall.
This show begins with the debuting Shohei Sakaguchi (0-0) fighting the win-less Takahiro Yasukawa (0-2) who lost both of his previous fights to debutants, something that should give Sakaguchi some confidence going in. In the second contest on the show Ryosuke Ota (1-5), looking for his second successive victory, will be taking on Toshiki Nishihara (2-3-1) who is without a win in his last 3 contests.
It's not just Sakaguchi that's making his debut as the shows third bout sees two men debuting with Shun Wakabayashi (0-0) fighting Takeshi Sato (0-0) in an interesting all-debutant contest. We then have one more 4 rounders, though unfortunately we're unsure who will be competing in that contest.
Following the four bouts scheduled for 4 rounds we then have two bouts scheduled for 8. The first of these will see Masatoshi Nakamura (6-7, 3) fighting the evenly matched Mako Matsuyama (6-7-1, 3). This looks like one of those brilliantly even match ups despite neither guy having a winning record.
In the main event we're expecting a distance fight as the light hitting Keisuke Arima (8-8-1, 1) battles the equally light hitting Wataru Ikenouchi (6-9-1, 1).
