With this week having started off at a hectic pace it's some what nice to see a less busy day with just a few low profile cards. The most notable one for Asian fans is in Indonesia though there is also a very good on in Australia which also features an Asian interest.
The Indonesian card, at the Soldier Hall Marine Corps in Cilandak sees the unbeaten Espinos Sabu (7-0-1, 2) looking for his first victory of the year as he takes on Kaenpetch Sithpoopetch (8-2, 1). This ie one of 2 bouts scheduled for 10 rounds with the other being Faris Nenggo (6-3-3, 1) against Veeradej Manopkanchang (1-0).
In 8 round action the wonderfully named Erick Deztroyer (1-1) fights the much more experienced Ruben Manakane (11-9, 7). Although Manakane has a poor record he is taking a 4 fight winning streak in to this bout and will be looking at becoming a bit of a Cinderella man if he can defeat Deztroyer.
The other bout of note on the card looks to be a total mismatch on paper as novice Tibo Ilduce Monabesa (1-0, 1) takes on the vastly experienced Jack Amisa (20-26-2, 14). The experience edge is massive though Amisa did manage an upset on his debut and another upset here could well see him crowned as "the" up coming Indonesian.
In Australia Thai Nuengsiam Kiatsongsang (0-3) attempts to upset the applecart as he takes on the unbeaten Jeff Horn (2-0, 2). Horn, who competed at the 2012 Olympics is favoured big time here though with just 3 rounds as a professional under his belt Kiatsongsang wil be hoping to drag him in to deep water.
Also in action in Australia is Pakistan born journeyman Kashif Mumtaz (8-36-1, 6) who, like Kiatsonsang is in hard as he takes on Damien Hooper (1-0, 1). Hooper, like Horn, was an Olympian and is tipped for very big things in his career.
