We get rare midweek action this week as Japanese fighter Takamori Akita (7-3-1, 5) travels down under and takes on once beaten Australian Mohammed Elomar (18-1-1, 9) on Thursday.
Akita goes in to this bout on the back of 3 successive losses and is without a victory in almost 8 years. Despite his recent form he's still a capable fighter and could be able to spring an upset against Elomar who himself is with out a win (or a fight, for that matter) since 2008.
Last time out Elomar was fighting at Super Featherweight whilst Akita was fighting at Light Welterweight so the visitor will likely be the bigger man in the ring making this a very possible opportunity for an upset.
