After a major weekend of boxing in Asia the action returns for a new week as Flash Akbane put on a small show at the Korakuen Hall
The show kicks off withan all debutant contest as Kiyoshi Tsuchiya (0-0) battles Shohei Nagashima (0-0) in a 4 rounder. This is one of 4 contests schedule for the 4 round distance and one of two bouts featuring a debutant.
In the second of the 4 round contest Naoto Takanashi (3-7-1, 2) will fight Daijiro Sato (2-5, 1), a man who is 8 years removed from his last victory. This will be followed by the second bout involving a debutant as Kibashi Takuya (0-0), we believe, fights Tomonori Ota (1-1).
The final of the 4 round contests is between two men who we unfortunately can't identify.
Following the 4 round bouts Takeshi Goda (6-2, 2) will fight Satoshi Hagizaki (7-6, 3) over 8 rounds. This will then be followed by the show's final contest as Takashi Inagaki (17-10-1, 7) meets Masaki Saito (9-9-3, 2) in what looks to be a disappointing main event.
At the Korakuen Hall there's a 7 bout show courtesy of Flash Akabane.
The shows most notable bouts see Takashi Inagaki (16-10-1, 6), the #3 ranked Japanese Lightweight, taking on Yuji Hashizume (5-9-2, 2) in an 8 round contest and Satoshi Hagizaki (6-6, 3) taking on Kota Koike (16-7, 5) also over 8 rounds. Both of these bouts have been made at a catchweigth of 63KG (around 139lbs).
At Super Flyweight Fumiya Ishii (4-7, 1) will be looking for just his second win in 7 years as he takes on Masashi Odaira (3-2-2, 1). Odaira is unbeaten in over 4 years so could perhaps inflict a further loss on to the record of Ishii.
We also believe that Yuichiro Sano (2-3-1) will be facing Kojiro Sasaki (3-2, 1). If we're right this will be Sano's first bout in over 5 years.
The card also features 2 debutants (sadly we're unsure on their names) and 1 other bout though we've conflicting reports on what that bout.
Note-Boxrec's listing for the show is different to ours, ours is taken from a translation of the Japanese Boxing Commission's schedule.
