The week goes out on a high here with an excellent day of boxing through out the Asian boxing world with a card in Thailand and one in Japan as well as Asian fighters in action around the world.
The most notable single bout takes place in Thailand as PABA Bantamweight champion Tabtimdaeng Na Rachawat (48-2, 32) defends his belt against Alvin Bais (13-1, 3).
In Japan we get the latest in the "Dangan" shows, "Dangan 82".
This Japanese show is a triple header of action with a trio of Japanese ranked fighters in action. These will see Yuki Ogata (18-0-1, 3), #1 ranked Japanese Featherweight, taking on Atsushi Suzuki (8-8-6, 2) in what amounts to a stay busy. Unfortunately all 3 of the main fights do look that way with Tsuyoshi Tojo (11-12-3, 2), the #4 ranked Japan Super Feather fighting Kazuhiro Kitano (7-6, 4) and the Kentaro Masuda (16-6, 9) the #3 ranked Japan Bantamweight taking on Yohei Kudo (9-5-1, 4).
On the undercard there is 7 bouts. The show kicks off with a female contest between Marina Isami (1-1) and Kumi Oishi (1-1, 1) before we get a trio of all-debutant match ups. These will see Sasō Hitsuki (0-0) taking on Iwasaki Shunsuke (0-0), Arioka Kosuke (0-0) fighting Yusuke Noriyuki (0-0) and Ishikawa Tatsuo (0-0) battling Takaya Matsumaru (0-0).
After the trio of all-debutant contests we have another debutant in action as Ichimura Renji (0-0) fights Shinsuke Hoda (3-4-1, 1).
Following the bouts involving debutants we then get two more bouts at a low level seeing Yutaka Motoyoshi (2-6, 2) against Naoki Nakashima (2-5) and Atsushi Kudo (1-2-1, 1) fight Yutaka Ekawa(1-2) before we get the trio of main fights.
At the Southport Sharks AFL Club in Queensland, Japan's Shigetaka Yonezawa (7-7-2, 2) will be looking to claim the WBC Asian Boxing Council Middleweight title. Sadly it's unlikely that Yonezawa will manage to claim the belt as he takes on Les Sherrington (32-6, 19), who comes in to the bout on a decent 5 fight winning streaking
Yonezawa isn't the only Asian in action in Australia with more action in Queensland as well as fights in Perth.
On a card in Brisbane, Queensland Tanyakorn Sor Thammajak (0-2) battles female world champion Shannon O'Connell (8-2, 5), whilst on the Perth card Nuengsiam Kiatsongsang (0-5) will be taking on the unbeaten Nathaniel May (1-0) and Singdet Nonpitayakom (11-14-1, 8) will fight Robbie Bryant (17-2-1, 8).
The international action continues in the US as unbeaten Filipino Joebert Alvarez (12-0-1, 5) fights for the first time away from home. We expect Alvarez's contest to be shown on Telemundo though unfortunately we haven't got a listed opponent as of yet.
