On a Sunday it's fair to say that much of the boxing world is recovering from a hard Saturday, in Asia however the action continued as the Philippines had a solid card with prospects and Australia stole the headlines.
The card in the Philippines may have only contained 5 bouts but those fights did showcase the ability of 3 very promising young prospects.
Highly regarded Featherweight Jun Doliguez (16-0-1, 12) needed just 70 seconds to blast out Arlon Batingal (7-7, 4). Fellow Featherweight prospect Ricky Dulay (6-0, 4) also managed to record a victory as he scored a 6 round decision over Rey Ramos (4-2-1, 1).
Super Bantamweight JR Magboo (10-0-2, 4) scored his first win of the year as he stopped Rolly Llino (5-9-1, 2) in the 6th round of a scheduled 10. In fact the only bout that managed to go 10 was a draw between Roman Canto (8-1-2, 3) and Armando Casa (11-10-5, 3), this bout was the 3rd successive set back for Canto who is now 0-1-2 in his last 3.
In the lowest profile bout on the card Jestoni Racoma (2-0-1) secured a clear 4 round decision victory over Jhon Jhon Faminiano (1-7-1) and did what he was supposed to do.
In Australia the main events may have been Aussies against Americans in the Heavyweight division though there was also a clear Asian interest in the card as Thai puncher Singsiam Kokietgym (6-2-1, 6) scored a draw with Matthew Lytwynenko (9-2-4, 5).
We try and give you the latest results on all the fights from Asia.
