In the UK the Yemeni born Muheeb Fazeldin (3-0-1, 1) scored his first stoppage victory thanks to a very bizarre first round retirement stoppage of Leo D'Erlanger (3-1-2). The fight, a rematch from when the two drew earlier this year, saw D'Erlanger cut around the eye and pulled out of the bout between rounds.
On the same card in the UK the Qatar born Abdul Barry Awad, AKA Kid Galahad (15-0, 8) successfully claimed the British Super Bantamweight title as he stopped the previously unbeaten James Dickens (16-1, 5) in the 10th round. Tipped as a future world champion Galahad showed plenty to like here though certainly has a lot more to improve before he starts thinking about world titles
In Japan we got domestic action with an 8 bout show thanks to Apollo Promotions.
The double main events on the Japanese show saw Takashi Nishimura (8-10-1, 1) out pointing Yusaku Suzuki (8-11-2, 5) and Shun Ishibashi (8-14-1, 3) stopping Masato Morisaki (6-2-2, 1) in the 7th of a scheduled 8.
As well as the two 8 round contests, there was a trio of 6 round bouts with Yu Iwasaki (7-1, 2) defeating Sho Horii (6-5-1, 1) and Tomohiro Iwasaki (4-4-2) claiming a victory over Fumio Yoshida (4-10, 1), both by decision, before Takayuki Morimoto (5-6, 3) stopped Hiroyuki Ukawa (11-11-1, 9).
The show kicked off woth a trio of 4 round bouts. These saw the debuting Tatsuya Terada (1-0) out pointing the previously unbeaten Tomonori Ota (1-1), Yukitaka Nishida (3-7-2, 1) defeating Takashi Okura (1-2) and Shogo Takenaka (4-5, 2) stopping Tatsunori Fukunaga (3-3, 1).
In the Philippines the promising young Vic Saludar (2-0, 2) recorded his second victory of the year by blasting out Camilo Rey Seneres (0-6) in just 85 seconds!
