One fighter who really impressed us last year was Daiki Kaneko, the man who gave Takashi Uchiyama one of his hardest ever bouts. Sadly Kaneko has been out of the ring since his impressive performance against "KO Dynamite" on New Year's Eve.
Kaneko makes his return to the ring this coming Saturday as he takes on Shogo Ishikawa in what is expected to be little more than a "return to action" bout with Ishikawa unlikely to provide any sort of a test for the very talented and heavy handed Kaneko who we believe will be a future world champion,.
With the bout being a mismatch there is little wonder hat Kaneko is the key for the poster though we'll be honest and say we'd have liked to have seen at least some details of other bouts on the show. It's fair to admit however that the shoe is all about Kaneko and his return not just to the ring but also to Aichi following his bout with Uchiyama.

One of the final shows of 2013 is "The best of best" a world title double header promoted by Watanabe gym and a show that promises to leave 2013 with fireworks.
The show, televised by TV Tokyo features a number of recogniable names on the undercard including Mexico's Carlos Cuadras, former Japanese champion Ryoichi Taguchi, Filipino Ryan Bito, former world champion Kohei Kono and model-come-boxer Tomomi Takano.
Although the under-card has notable names on it most of the bouts are mismatches. The main events however are mouth watering affairs as Takashi Miura faces Dante Jardon in a WBC Super Featherweight title defense and Takashi Uchiyama takes on Daiki Kaneko in a WBA Super Featherweight title fight. Both of those bouts are really exciting contests and better yet, there is real hope the winners will collide in a 2014 super fight. Yes this is the sort of show that helps give us the future and is a fantastic way to end the year.
In terms of the poster it's hard to complain. It has the 4 main event fighters, it has the details and although it misses some under-card stuff, it's fair to say the main events here are what will excite fans.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
