Ring Magazine didn't award their first KO of the year award until 1989. Had they had one in 1973 however it would have been almost impossible to argue against it belonging to Filipino Ben Villaflor (?-?) who scored a breath taking 1-punch KO over Japanese legend Kikuchi Shibata (?-?).
