Former Chinese amateur star Zou Shiming (5-0, 1) may split fans around the world but in the eyes of the bookies he's a clear favourite to win his upcoming bout this weekend against Kwanpichit OnsongchaiGym (27-0-2, 12). The bout, a notable step up for Shiming, appears to be a foregone conclusion with the bookies pricing the Chinese fighter as a 1/25 favourite whilst Kwanpichit is a 10/1 underdog to upset the fighter who has helped put real fire into the Chinese boxing market.
At 1/25 there is no real money in backing Shiming for the outright win however there does appear to be some opportunities to make money on the method of win market with Shiming's odds there being much more interesting. For Shiming to win a decision you can get 4/7 and it seems that with both bookies and fans this is the likely outcome. We would suggest however having a look at Kwanpichit's bout against Ben Mananquil and then considering the 7/5 offered on Shiming by stoppage which is certainly not out of the realms of possibility considering how easily Mananquil shook up the Thai. For those who fancy the upset Kwanpichit can be backed at 18/1 to win inside the distance and 22/1 to win by stoppage.
