Tomorrow Chinese fans will get the chance to see "The return of the King", omn CCTV 5 and Star Sports. The headline bout of the card will see former amateur sensation Shiming Zou (6-1, 1) [邹市明] return to the ring, for the first time since his loss to Amnart Ruenroeng, to face off against unbeaten Brazilian Natan Santana Coutinho (12-0, 10).
Today those two men took part in their weigh in with both men making the Flyweight limit for the bout, a good thing given that they will be fighting for the WBO International Flyweight title.
On the scales Shiming was 111¼lbs, the second lowest weight of his career. Despite comfortably making the weight the Chinese star looked good at the weigh in and looked very confident. Talking about confidence it's fair to say that Coutinho was also very confident, and he scaled 111½lbs, which we believe is a career low.
The bout is one that looks good on paper though it's fair to say the visitor is the big under-dog and is seen as a man stepping up in a significant way. For Shiming this is a bout he simply cannot afford to lose if he's going to get another world title fight, with bout against Kazuto Ioka [井岡 一翔] rumoured to be interested in a bout with Shiming.
