On December 20th Japanese fans have a treat with shows in 3 different venues across the country. Whilst Tokyo fans have the most notable show, the 2015 Rookie of the Year final, fans in Fukuoka have the most notable bout, a world title bout. That world title bout will see Yuko Kuroki (14-4-1, 7) defending her WBC female Minimumweight title against Mexican foe Nancy Franco (14-6-2, 4).
On Tuesday Kuroki took part in her public work out, ahead of that bout.
At the work out a confident Kuroki seemed to hint that she was looking for a KO, though admitted that Franco was a strong fighter and a solid challenger.
Although Kuroki isn't a huge name in Japanese boxing circles she does have plenty of traits that could endear her to fans, especially if she continues to rack up wins. Her bout with Franco is a very tough match up, though she's clearly looking to prove a point, rather than merely defending her title against weak opposition.
