Earlier today it was reported that former amateur fight Yuki Koha (0-0) would be making his professional debut on October 18th at the Prefectural Gymnasium Kurume. Koha's bout is going to be a 6 round contest at 140lbs against Indonesian visitor Rian Cobra (2-1, 1) in what should a good showing from the Koha.
As an amateur Koha went 30-15, not the most amazing record but he was said to have a style that was more suited to the professional ranks than the amateur ranks and should be able to progress through the relatively weak domestic scene at speedy pace.
Described as a fighter Koha is aggressive and reportedly has a dangerous left hand, which could well prove to be the key to his success in the coming years.
Aged just 21 Koha has got time on his side and also has some one to look up to immediately, with stable mate Yuki Beppu (9-0, 9) already receiving a lot of interest. It seems that if Koha can keep his head level and focus on the sport than he really could go on to claiming numerous titles over the coming years.
