At the end of last week we reported that popular Japanese Welterweight brawler Yoshihiro Kamegai (25-3-1, 22) would return to action on October 3rd at the Korakuen Hall. At the time we didn't know who Kamegai would be up against though had been assured that he would definitely being in action.
Today we learned that his opponent for that bout would be Filipino Middleweight Mike Mirafuentes (3-1-1), who will be fighting outside of the Philippines for the third time in his career.
For those who recognise Mirafuentes's name he has fought one well known fighter, Russian Light Heavyweight prospect Egor Mekhontsev. The two men clashed in Macau last year with the much touted Russian stopping Mirafuentes in 3 rounds. That was Mekhontsev's 4th professional bout though it did not only a gulf in skills but also in natural size.
