Earlier today fans in the US got to see the official weigh in for this weekend's big card in the US, the main event of which is a bout between Japanese slugger Yoshihiro Kamegai (24-1-1, 21) and popular American Robert Guerrero (31-2-1-2, 18).
The result of the weight in weigh in were interesting with Kamegai weighing around 146.7lbs, comfortably inside the Welterweight limit but notably heavier than Guerrero who was just 146lbs.
For Kamegai this is almost an identical weight to his last 3 bouts which included his sole loss to Johan Perez and his wins over Tim Hunt and Jung-Hoon Yang. It might not mean a lot on paper but it's certainly a weight that he's very comfortable at and 8 of his last 9 fights have been within 1lb of that weight.
As for Guerrero this is is his lightest weight since he beat Selcuk Aydin back in July 2012. He is a whole 1lb lighter than when he faced Floyd Mayweather Jr in his most recent bout, which was over a year go.
The video below shows the official weigh in for two men involved in this potentially thrilling contest.
