In February we reported that former WBC Super Featherweight champion Yong Soo Choi (29-4-1, 19) [최용수] was set to make a comeback on April 9th 2016 against Japanese fighter Kazuya Nakano (9-5-1, 7) [中野 和也]. Today it's been revealed that that bout will actually take place a week later that originally reported.
We've not been told why the bout has been delayed, though we do now know that it will be taking place on April 16th and will take place at the Hoseo Highschool, Dangjin.
Interestingly the new date almost is almost the 18th anniversary of Choi's last big win, a 9th round KO over Gilberto Serrano from April 18th 1998.
Sadly it seems that the bout will no longer be associated with a deep KBF Rookie of the Year card, that still looks set to take place on the original date of April 9th.
