Earlier today we were made award that Watanabe Gym had released the poster for their upcoming April 27th card at the Ota City Gymnasium.
The card in question will be headlined by WBA Super Featherweight "Super" champion Takashi Uchiyama's (24-0-1, 20) [内山 高志] and battle against "interim" champion Jezreel Corrales (19-1-0-1, 7), in a rare WBA unification bout, whilst chief supporting bouts will see WBA Super Flyweight champion Kohei Kono (31-8-1, 13) [河野 公平] battle against Thailand's Inthanon Sithchamuang (28-7-1, 15) [อินทนนท์ ศิษย์ชะมวง] and WBA Light Flyweight champion Ryoichi Taguchi (23-2-1, 10) [田口良一] defending his title against Japanese based Venezuelan Juan Jose Landaeta (27-8-1, 21).
As well as the trio of title bouts the under-card contests will include a Heavyweight clash between Kyotaro Fujimoto (13-1, 7) [藤本 京太郎] and Nathan McKay (6-2, 3) and an interesting match up between Japanese Super Bantamweight contender Yusaku Kuga (11-2-1, 7) [久我 勇作] and experienced Thai Sukkasem Kietyongyuth (13-5, 8), who has lost his last 3 but been mixing at solid international level.
The poster for the bout features the 3 world champions in clear images whilst also featuring the name of the card. It's a simple poster but an effective and sharp one that features plenty of information at the top. It is however a poster that is selling on the quality of the three main bouts.
