Earlier today the Watanabe gym held an event which saw them meet with a local dignitary and confirm a number of stories.
The most obvious of the stories that was confirmed was that WBA Super Featherweight "super" champion Takashi Uchiyama's (24-0-1, 20) [内山 高志] was deep in negotiations with WBA "interim" champion Jezreel Corrales (19-1-0-1, 7), with the the Watanabe team trying to secure the bout swiftly. This further confirms the quote of Corrales's manager, who sated the bout was 90% done.
It was also confirmed that the bout would be on April 27th at the Ota City Gymnasium and would be, if it's signed, part of a triple header that will include Ryoichi Taguchi (23-2-1, 10) [田口良一] and WBA Super Flyweight champion Kohei Kono (31-8-1, 13) [河野 公平].
We have long suspect the triple header but today's confirmation from Watanabe now solidifies the story.
