This coming Sunday promises to be a a huge day for Japanese fight fans with world champions Naoya Inoue (9-0, 8) [井上 尚弥] and Akira Yaegashi (23-5, 12) [八重樫 東] both defending their titles, on a card that also features Takuma Inoue (6-0, 1) [井上 拓真], defending his OPBF title, Ryo Matsumoto (17-0, 15) [松本 亮] in a stay busy fight and Koki Inoue (2-0, 2) [浩樹井上] in his third professional contest.
For fight fans across Japan the two main bouts will be aired live on TV with Inoue defending his WBO Super Flyweight title against mandatory challenger David Carmona (20-2-5, 8) whilst Yaegashi will be up against the exciting Martin Tecuapetla (13-6, 10).
For fans interested in watching the show it will be aired between 19:00 local time and 20:54 with both main bouts being aired in full. For UK fans that means the card will begin at 11:00 and finish at around 13:00.
As for the coverage it will be aired, not "Fuji TV across the country" but on the channels affiliated with the Fuji News Network. For fans in Tokyo that will be Fuji TV, for fans in Osaka it will be KTV, for fans in Aichi it will be Tokai, etc.
Of course for international fans, who will likely have access to a Fuji TV stream, those details aren't necessary, however they are interesting with the affiliates increasing the potential audience for the show by millions. With that in mind we suspect the card could break 10,000,000 viewers across the country, with Fuji cleverly showing the bouts live just after the golden week.
