Later this week South African fans will get the chance to see two interesting match ups between Japanese fighters and South African fighters.
The bouts in question will see touted Japanese hopeful Tsuyoshi Tameda (13-1-2, 11) [溜田 剛士] facing former WBA Featherweight champion Simpiwe Vetyeka (28-3, 17) whilst former Japanese Super Flyweight champion Yohei Tobe (9-2-1, 5) [戸部洋平] faces Luzuko Siyo (15-3, 12).
Today those four fighters attended a press conference with all 4 fighters sounding confident, though their was some clear discontent from the Japanese fighters who have apparently had issues with the condition of their hotel. It appears that the hotel they are staying at is lacking water at the moment which has forced the fighters to show at the fitness club that held the press conference.
Coming in their bouts Tobe sounded very self assured that he was going to stop Siyo, whilst Tameda seemed to accept that he was in for a tough contest but did sound confident of shocking the boxing world when the fighters meet this coming Friday.
