On Thursday we'll see WBC Bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanaka (26-0-2, 18) [山中慎介] defendign his title against Carlos Carlson (22-1, 13). Today those two fighters took part in their signing ceremony and they weren't the only ones at the event, with the star studded under-card also attending.
Among those at the signing ceremony were Japanese Super Featherweight champion Kenichi Ogawa (20-1, 16) [尾川 堅一], who will be defending his title against Satoru Sugita (12-3-4, 7) [杉田 聖]. Ogawa stated that he was going to be looking to move into world title bouts, and is hoping to follow stablemate Yamanaka into becoming a world champion.
Another notable name was upcoming future world title challenger Ryosuke Iwasa (22-2, 14) [岩佐 亮佑], who stated that he was looking to secure a win over Filipino novice Glenn Medura (8-1-1, 5) before getting an IBF title shot later in the year.
Also at the event was Brian Viloria (36-5-0-2, 22) who stated that he was wanting to inspire youngster and looked confident of returning to winning ways after taking more than a year out of the ring.
