Earlier today saw the physical examinations of the fighters involved in this weekend's WBC Super Featherweight world title fight. Thankfully both Takashi Miura and Edgar Puerta passed the medical with no issues and their very exciting looking fight will go ahead with no issues.
The physical examination not only found no health issues with the men involved but also revealed some interesting details about the men. Notably that the reach of both was very similar, something that apparently shocked Miura who assumed he would have the shorter reach.
Overall Puerta was bigger than the Japanese fighter though the advantages were relatively minimal, for example 1" in height and 2 inches around the chest.
Whilst Puerta was bigger it does need noting that this will be his first world title bout whilst Miura will be competing in his 5th, and will be seeking his 4th win ovr a Mexican fighter.
