This weekend American fans get their first chance to see the exciting, and very heavy handed, Takashi Miura (29-2-2, 22) in the flesh. The WBC Super Featherweight champion looks to continue his reign as champion as he goes up against unbeaten mandatory challenger Francisco Vargas (22-0-1, 16) in what seems like an almost sure-fire FOTY contender.
Ahead of that fight Miura took part in a public training session at the Top Rank gym in the US.
The session was a very light one with Miura working up a sweat whilst working the mitts, bag and skipping. It
Despite the session being a light one the fighter looked as intense as ever and seemed to be showing the unhappiness often connected with a fighter losing weight. Despite the almost grumpy demeanor he was joined by friends with stablemate Shinsuke Yamanaka being among those who have traveled to the US to support Miura.
