Earlier today saw the announcement that former Japanese Flyweight champion Suguru Muranaka (24-2-1, 8) [村中 優] would be back in the ring on December 5th, to take former multi-time world title challenger Hiroyuki Hisataka (24-15-1, 10) [久高 寛之], in an 8 rounder at a contracted 53KG's at the Korakuen Hall.
For Hisataka this will likely be his final bout if he losses, with his career literally hanging by a thread coming in to this bout. At his best he was a handful at Flyweight beating the likes of Hussein Hussein and Panomroonglek Kratingdaenggym and running fighters like Denkaosan Kaovichit and Takefumi Sakata close. He is however along way removed from his prime and has gone 3-6 in his last 9 bouts, with losses to the likes of Omar Andres Narvaez, Ryo Matsumoto, Takuya Kogawa and Mark John Yap. Another loss really will spell the end of the exciting "Sexy Soldier", who is "only" 31 but a very old 31.
As for Muranaka the all action former Japanese champion is still looking for his first world title bout but is unbeaten in a decade and has gone 17-0-1 (6) during that ring, whilst beating the likes of Masafumi Otake, Takuya Kogawa, Masayuki Kuroda, Tetsuma Hayashi and Renoel Pael. Sadly for him his career was derailed a bit in 2015 when he failed to make weight for 2 bouts, one of which was cancelled, but he has bounced back and is looking to move towards a world title fight in the near future.
The under-card hasn't yet been announced but it's thought that the card could end up being shown online with a previous Flash Akabane show having recently been featured on boxingraise, and it would make sense for them to also put this one up, especially given the potentially fun main event.
For fans who haven't seen the men in action we've featured a fight from both below, with both being their bouts against current Japanese Flyweight champion Takutya Kogawa.
