Earlier today in Thailand saw the official weigh in for tomorrow's exciting Super Flyweight bout between aggressive and exciting Thai warrior Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (33-4-1, 20) and heavy handed Mexican visitor Jose Salgado (34-2-2, 27).
The bout might not register with many fans outside of the hardcore but it's a mouth watering clash between two talented fighters and big hitting contenders and those who have seen the two in action will know to expect something special when the men get in the ring together.
At the weigh in both men made weight, though if we're being honest it did appear that the weight making process left Srisaket looking very gaunt around the face whilst Salgado looked at ease posing for photographs.
The bout, which will be aired tomorrow on channel 7, is for the WBC "silver" Super Flyweight title and the winner will become the #1 contender to Carlos Cuadras.
Cuadras won the title last year by taking a technical decision win over Srisaket. Calls for a rematch were made but the WBC decided to force an eliminator between Srisaket and Salgado. Interestingly Salgado himself fought to a technical draw with Cuadras last year, in what was Cuadras's first defense of the title.
Whilst this bout might not catch the attention of too many boxing fans in the west it really could be something special and we'd suggest setting your alarms to get up in time two see these two warriors face off in a fight that promise a lot of fireworks.
