Late yesterday it was announced that heavy handed Japanese domestic contender Shuhei Tsuchiya (16-4, 14) would be returning to the ring on March 7th as part of the Kadoebi show at the Korakuen Hall.
The heavy handed former Rookie of the Year winner hasn't been in great form recently, losing 4 of his last 6 bouts, but is being matched easily in his up coming bout as he is set to battle Thai visitor John Ford (6-5-1, 5).
Ford, also known as Singphayak Kokietgym, has been fighting in Australia in recent times and has had relatively mixed fortunes. These have included a huge upset win over the once touted Brandon Ogilvie and a technical draw against Todd Kidd as well as losses to Qamil Ball and Kye MacKenzie.
The bout is scheduled for 8 rounds and will add another recognisable name to the card which was already set to feature a pair of Japanese title bouts.
