Tomorrow fight fans at the Korakuen Hall will get the chance to see the next "Dangan" show. The main event of the card is a Japanese interim title fight at 140lbs though for us the most enticing bout is actually a supporting bout, also at 140lbs.
The bout in question will see hard hitting Japanese southpaw Shinya Iwabuchi (25-5, 20) battle former OPBF champion Romeo Jakosalem (16-10-1, 8).
Iwabuchi, who has twice come up short in OPBF title fights, looked in great condition on the scales and will be heavily favoured of Jakosalem however the visitor also looked in great shape and had clearly been giving a lot of time to prepare for the bout.
At the weigh in early today both men made the 140lb limit at their first attempt and given that both are top 10 ranked by the OPBF the bout will effectively act as an OPBF eliminator, with the winner likely looking at a possible show against Keita Obara, who stopped Iwabuchi in 12 rounds last year.
