On December 14th we'll see WBA Minimumweight champion Knockout CP Freshmart (13-0, 6) [น็อคเอาท์ ซีพีเฟรชมาร์ท] defending his title against Japan's Shin Ono (19-7-4, 3) [小野 心], who is looking to become the first Japanese fighter to claim a world title on Thai soil.
Today, ahead of that fight, Ono took part in a public training session and a press conference.
The press conference saw Mr Watanabe, Ono's promoter, make it clear he knows about how tough it is to win in Thailand, something we have seen repeatedly in world title bouts in the country. Despite know it's tough it did seem like they had scouted Knockout and are aware of what the Thai has to offer knowing thit is a lot of footage of the champion.
The training session saw the challenger work hard on the mitts and work up a good sweat but not giving away much of his game plan. It seems he's working to neutralise the strengths of Knockout and also has a secret plan, but gave little of that plan away at today's media event.
