Just over a week ago Ohashi announced the 3 headline bouts for their next super show, a show set to take place on December 29th. The main event of that card was announced as being Naoya Inoue (8-0, 7) against Warlito Parrenas (24-6-1, 21) in a WBO Super Flyweight title bout. That was one of a trio of title bouts originally announce for the card along with an IBF Light Flyweight title bout between popular challenger Akira Yaegashi (22-5, 12) and current champion champion Javier Mendoza (24-2-1, 19) and an OPBF Super Flyweight title bout between Takuma Inoue (5-0, 1) and Filipino challenger fighter Rene Dacquel (15-5-1, 5).
Yesterday saw another title bout being added to the card.
That bout will see Japanese Featherweight champion Satoshi Hosono (29-2-1, 20) defending his title against former Super Bantamweight world champion Akifumi Shimoda (30-4-2, 13).
For Hosono this will be his third defense in the space of just over 4 months and his 5th defense since claiming the title 18 months ago. For Shimodait is a chance for him to become a 2-weight Japanese champion, having previously been a Super Bantamweight title holder.
From what we under-stand the winner will be looking to move towards a world title fight in 2016.
Ohashi officially announce Inoue vs Parrenas, Yaegashi vs Mendoza and Inoue Vs Dacquel!
