We're hearing of a strong possibility that WBO Minimumweight champion Merlito Sabillo (23-0, 13) will defend his title for a second time later this year.
The unbeaten Filipino, who defeated Colombian Jorle Estrada last time out, is strongly linked to a November 29th bout with Nicaraguan youngster Carlos Buitrago (27-0-0-1, 16).
Buitrago, 21, is on a great run of victories in recent fights, not only defeating the previously unbeaten Julian Yedras last time out but also beating the likes of Yader Escobar, Gabriel Mendoza, Carlos Melo and Jorle Estrada in the past few years.
Despite the great reputation of Buitrago in the boxing world we tend to think that this will a fight that has come too soon for the youngster and instead the Filipino should manage to keep his title by using his experience as both a boxer and street fighter.
