It's fair to say that by now we're all fully aware that Ryota Murata (12-0, 9) [村田 諒太] and Frenchman Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam (35-2, 21) look to be on a collission course for a WBA Middleweight title bout. Today Murata started sparring for that proposed clash and spent time in the ring with two former foes.
One of those sparring partners was Bruno Sandoval (19-2-1, 15), who Murata stopped late last year in Tokyo, whilst the other was the often used Adrian Luna Flores (20-4-1, 13), who has sparred regularly with Murata since their 2014 bout.
The Mexicans each went 2 rounds with Murata, who was sparring for the first time as part of his currently training camp, and it although Murata wasn't razor sharp he did look like a man who really finding his groove, with his right hand looking particularly potent.
Although the N'dam N'Jikam bout hasn't yet been announced, the announcements is expected to come very soon and it's clear that Murata is already well under-way with his preparation, even if he hasn't been busy with sparring, and he did look in good shape at today's training session.
