We've long known that Japanese Middleweights Makoto Fuchigami (23-11, 13) [淵上 誠] and Tomohiro Ebisu (16-4, 16) [胡 朋宏] would be facing off on December 24th in a bout for the "interim" Japanese Middleweight title.
Today saw more fighters involved in that card being announced.
One of those in action will be 2-time world title challenger Ryo Akaho (28-2-2, 18) [赤穂 亮] who will be fighting in an 8 rounder, against a yet to be named opponent. This will be his third bout since his 2015 loss to Pungluang Sor Singyu and it'sclear he's hoping to stay busy with this being his third bout in the space of about 7 months, and it's likely he'll get something notable in 2017.
Another is former world title challenger, and 41 year old veteran, Motoki Sasaki (41-10-1, 25) [佐々木 基樹] who looks to secure his third win of the year as he takes on Yuki Kimura (6-8-1, 5) [木村 勇樹] and looks to take another step towards a potential title fight in 2017.
Although strongly favoured here Sasaki is fighting for just the third time in 4 years and is fighting for the first time since his 41st birthday. Kimura on the other hand is "just" 32.
The bouts are all expected to be featured on A-sign boxing in a card that, if it has a 24 hour delay like others on the service, will be a pleasant Christmas gift for boxing fans in Japan, and other users of A-sign boxing.
