Japanese female fighter Riyako Goshi (2-2) might not be a big name but she always seems to be a hit in the local papers who often carry stories about her due to her fun attitude, good looks, media friendly personality and her "gravure" work. She was again in the papers and on the Japanese websites this morning as she took part in an open work out ahead of her return to the ring on January 29th.
The work out saw Goshi dressing in cosplay as Mikasa Ackerman, a character from "Attack on Titan", and although it was more fun and less serious that usual work outs it did get plenty of attention with the fighter herself discussing both her love of the "Attack on Titan" franchise and her upcoming bout.
In regards to her upcoming bout Goshi said she would be dropping to Light Flyweight and rematching Thailand's Kanittha Saknarong. Goshi said that the first bout was tough one due to Kanittha being too big though she feels she has improved enough to hunt the KO. We suspect that'll be easier said than done though it's great to see she has confidence in her ability and with successive wins on her record and serious time in the gym we suspect that confidence is genuinely growing all the time.
