Yesterday fans in Thailand had the chance to catch two young Japanese fighters in action as they continued to notch up wins despite still being teenagers.
The most notable of those fighters was the touted Riku Kano (9-1-1,5) [加納陸],who continued his winning run with an opening round KO against the limited Chaichana Sor Por Por Laos (0-1). The bout, between two southpaws, ended after just 64 seconds with Kano's class showing it's self early.
The Japanese 18 year old was fighting in Thailand for the first time in over a year. His return to the "Land of Smiles", saw him extending his record in Thailand to 4-0 (3), notably however he didn't defend the WBA Asia Minimumweight title, a title he won last time he was in Thailand.
As well Kano there was also a win for teenage stablemate Futa Akizuki (5-0, 4) who defeated Juttanao Ventureman (0-1) with a 6 round decision. The young Akizuki is expected to make his Japanese debut in May following a successful 5-0 run in Thailand.
