Japanese Bantamweight champion Kohei Oba (35-3-1, 14) was sadly beaten earlier today as he classed with unbeaten American Randy Caballero (21-0, 13) in an IBF world title eliminator.
Oba, known as the "Mayweather of Nagoya", looked out classed from early on and was taken apart by classy body shots from Caballero. It was those body shots and the accumulative affect of Caballero's crisp punches that forced Oba's corner men to throw in the towel in round 8 after Oba had been dropped.
The American, fighting in Asia for the first time, looked the most impressive of his career so far and whilst he crushed Oba's dreams we'd like to say good look to him in the future. His fans have been brilliant and a number of them have become friends of the site so we will make sure to support Randy when he fights IBF champion Stuart Hall later this year. We'd honestly like to say thank you to Team Caballero. Hopefully they'll accept us as an honorary member.
