In exactly one month's time Japanese fans will get the chance to see Shingo Wake (19-4-2, 11) [和氣 慎吾] take part in a stay busy bout against Indonesian fighter Waldo Sabu (7-2, 2), as he awaits the winner of the upcoming Carl Frampton Vs Scott Quigg bout. The bout may not be a particularly interesting one on paper but it's supposed to be a "prelude" bout for Wake, and it will actually have an intriguing under-card.
Today, ahead of that bout, we saw the poster for the show being revealed as Wake published the poster on his own blog.
The poster design is a really simple one with an image of Wake being the only real image along with some text, which includes the main match up as well as the details, including the date.
Whilst the poster is particularly exciting it does give us a reason to talk about the under-card announced for the show and, as mentioned, is a pretty goof one with 2 really notable match ups. The better of those sees Wake's good friend Kenya Yamashita (8-1, 5) [山下 賢哉] take on Katsunori Nagamine (10-1, 6) [長嶺 克則], in a really telling Flyweight bout, whilst the other sees Toyoto Shiraishi (25-8-3, 12) [白石 豊土] face off against Hayato Kimura (24-8, 16) [木村 隼人]. Both of these bouts are likely to be better than the main event though will draw a lot less attention than Wake's final bout before his long awaited world title contest.
