As we all know tomorrow is a huge day for Japanese boxing fans with a number of intriguing match ups, many of which have been made available to bet on with Paddy Power. Whilst we wouldn't suggest betting on many of these bouts, it is nice to know the odds, so we've decided to share them.
The earliest bout listed, pencilled in for 6am on the Paddy Power website, is the 10 round bout between local favourite Ryo Matsumoto (16-0, 14) and Filipino visitor Jestoni Autida (9-3, 4). Autida has had a good year, pushing Petch Sor Chitpattana very close and stopping Ratchasak KKP, though is viewed as a huge 12/1 under-dog whilst Matsumoto is an unbackable 1/80. The draw is priced at 33/1
At 8am Paddy Power have got the OPBF Super Flyweight title bout between defending champion Takuma Inoue (5-0, 1) and tricky challenger Rene Dacquel (15-5-1, 5). Again they make the visitor the big under-dog, pricing him at 12/1, just like Autida, whilst Inoue is 1/80, just like his Ohashi gym stablemate. Interestingly this bout has a "method of victory" market open with Inoue by decision being a value bet at 6/5, Inoue by stoppage is odds on at 4/6, in what looks to be a peculiar move by the bookies. For Dacquel backers the Filipino is 33/1 to win a decision and 14/1 to score his 6th stoppage win. s with the other bout the draw is 33/1.
At 9am the bookies will be closing the market on the first of the world title fights, a bout that sees Akira Yaegashi (22-5, 12) go up against IBF Light Flyweight champion Javier Mendoza(24-2-1, 19). This is the only bout where the visitor is the favourite, with the bookies making Mendoza a 1/2 favoruite whilst Yaegashi is an 8/5 under-dog, suggesting the bookies think he's on the downside as a fighter.
The final bout, with a scheduled time of 10am, sees Naoya Inoue (8-0, 7) defending his WBO Super Flyweight title against Warlito Parrenas (24-6-1, 21). As noted recently Inoue is a 1/100 favourite for the bout whilst Parrenas is 16/1. Strangely the bout has been priced at 33/1 to be a draw. As with Takuma Inoue's bout with Rene Dacquel, this one also has a "method of victory" market. This sees Inoue priced at 1/7 to score a stoppage whilst the Monster is 4/1 to claim a decision. The Filipino is 33/1 to score a decision win and 18/1 to get the win by stoppage.
*Note-Other bookies have priced some of these bouts, but Paddy Power are the only ones to have priced them all, so we have just used their odds.
