Later today Japanese fans will get the chance to see an intriguing WBO female Bantamweight title bout in Tokyo. The bout, which sees former world champion Naoko Fujioka (13-1, 6) attempt to claim a 3rd world title as she takes on the inform Korean fighter Hee Jung Yuh (15-2, 6), takes place at the Korakuen Hall as part of a great show.
At the weigh in yesterday both fighters made the 118lb limit with ease. Fujioka, who claimed her first world title at 105lbs, came in at 117lbs whilst Yuh was 117¼lbs.
Whilst the weight was the heaviest for Fujioka it was a middling weight for Yuh who has fought between Super Flyweight and Super Bantamweight in her 17 fight career.
Whilst Fujioka, who is now 40, will be the clear betting favourite it does need noting that Yuh has won her last 14 fights following a 1-2 start to her professional career.
