Over the past weekend we saw numerous fights, there was also a number that we didn't to see.
One of those fights that we didn't see occurred in Mexico and saw former world title challenger Nana Yoshikawa (5-1, 3) score a very easy win over Mexican local Denisse de la Cruz (0-2).
Yoshikawa, who was beaten in her previous bout by the excellent Anabel Ortiz, took control immediately and the outmatched de la Cruz was stopped inside a round as the Japanese visitor showed off the gulf in ability between the two.
Whilst the bout did go under-the-radar it did serve it's purpose, which was to get Yoshikawa some experience of fighting and training abroad. In fact it was the training that was more significant than the bout it's self and she'll be hoping to show the benefits of the training in more bouts in the near future.
