Earlier today fight fans in Mie had a chance to see a small but show courtesy of Matsuda Promotions, with the show featuring two fighters booked in to take part in the Japanese Youth tournament.
The first of those fighters was Junto Nakatani (11-0, 9) [中谷 潤人], who scored an impressive stoppage win over Filipino visitor Jeol Taduran (8-5-1, 2), who had gone 10 rounds wth Toshiyuki Igarashi last year and had only suffered one stoppage loss, to Tibo Monabesa, prior totoday's stoppage.
Nakatani did take one or two shots, but finished of Taduran in the 4th round as he moves on to a Japanese Youth bout with Yuma Kudo (6-2-2, 1) [工藤優雅] in May.
The other was the big punching Yuto Nakamura (7-3, 6) [中村 祐斗], who forced a retirement victory over Kenta Nomura (4-2, 1) [野村 健太]. Nakamura's power was the key here and in round 2 he fractured the jaw of Nomura who was withdrawn from the fight at the end of the round.
Nakamura will go on to fight Wataru Takeda (10-1-1, 4) [武田 航] later in the year in the final of the Japanese Youth Bantamweight tournament.
