Tomrrow fight fans in Japan will get the chance to see OPBF Lightweight champion Masayoshi Nakatani (13-0, 8) [中谷 正義] defending his title against Kaewfah Tor Buamas (23-1, 16) [แก้วฟ้า สวนปาล์มฟาร์มนก], in what will be the next step towards the winner getting a potential world title fight later in the year.
Today, ahead of their bout, the two men made weight.
On the scales Nakatani was 135lbs, bang on the limit, and although he seemed confident of recording his 7th defense of the title there was some questioning how well he had made weight, with some stating that he wasn't looking at his best. It also looked like he had a small bit of marking under his left eye and question marks have been raised by some about his camp for the fight.
The Thai was marginally lighter, coming in at 134.7lbs, and looked in good shape, and was confident of taking the Orientlal title back to Thailand. Although a win for Kaewfah would be a major upset his confidence was alarmign and it's obvious that he's not travelled to just roll over.
