Back on July 31st fight fans in Osaka had the chance to see teenager Hinata Maruta (3-0, 2) [丸田 陽七太] fight in his first title bout, as he took on Filipino Wilbert Berondo (10-1, 4) in a contest for the WBC Youth Bantamweight title. The bout was shown, in full, on pay service Boxingraise.com just a day after the bout took place.
This morning Japanese promotional outfit Morioka Boxing released some footage from the bout for those who don't use the boxingraise service but do want to see how Maruta looked.
We'll be honest the highlight footage isn't as good as the full fight, but given that this was free and made widely available it's a great chance for those to see just how good Maruta is.
Interestingly this footage was released less than 24 hours after speculation began to surface that Maruta would be back in the ring in November, potentially defending his title for the first time. There is also speculation that Maruta's next bout may also be streamed on boxingraise, giving yet another reason to pay for the subscription service.
