Over the past few days we've been back in contact with Ty, part of the team involved with exciting Korean fighter Min Wook Kim (11-1, 8). Thankfully Ty has managed to send us a few more details ahead of Kim's return to the ring later this month.
Firstly Kim will return to action on March 21st in Mexicali, that is something he revealed a while back and we reported. What is new however is that Kim's opponent was named. Kim will be fighting against Mexican Lizandro De los Santos (22-12, 9) in what appears to be an easy return to the ring for Kim who hasn't fought since his August 2013 victory over Valentine Hosokawa.
Ty also indicated that Kim's aim is to claim a world title, which would make him the first Korean world champion since the In Jin Chi retired back in 2007. It was due to that aim that Kim left Korea to link up with a more renowned training team which he has found in the US under the guidance of Javier Capetillo.
Thanks to Ty we've been able to share some of that training with this small video of Kim working on the pads. Thank you Ty for sharing this video with us, and allowing us to share it with the rest of the world.
Min Wook Kim training alongside Miguel Vazquez in Mexico, will return to ring on March 21st!
